Terms of Service and Purchase

Our bouquets may not always include the exact flowers pictured, but they’ll always stay true to the look, theme, and overall vibe you selected. We’re committed to designing beautiful, fresh arrangements using what’s seasonal and in its best form. If a specific flower isn’t available, or doesn’t meet our quality standards, we may substitute it with something equally beautiful to preserve the overall design.

Flowers are living things — sometimes a little moody, sometimes absolutely perfect. We follow strong flower care practices, but if your blooms aren’t performing as expected, reach out to us. We’re happy to offer care tips or support.

DELIVERY DETAILS & MISSED DELIVERIES

Deliveries are generally made between 11 AM and 6 PM. We do our best to have all deliveries completed by 6 PM, although most happen earlier. We cannot accommodate most special delivery requests on busy holidays.

For any special delivery timing requests, please email us at hello@aprilflowers.ca before placing your order. Include a window of time when someone will be home, or instructions on where the flowers can be safely left. These requests are subject to availability and an additional delivery fee.

Please provide as much information as possible to help us deliver your order successfully — buzzer number, unit number, and recipient phone number are especially helpful.

Our blooms are water-wrapped and delivered in our covered boxes. They can stay outside for 6–8 hours in a cool area, or 2–3 hours on a warm summer day. Oversized bouquets that don’t fit in our boxes will be delivered in April Flowers carry bags until larger boxes are available.

MISSED DELIVERIES

If no one is home when we attempt delivery:

  • We will notify both the recipient and the sender.
  • Flowers will be held at our Burnaby location for pickup, or we can reattempt delivery the following day for an additional delivery fee, regardless of delivery area.
  • If we do not hear back from the sender or recipient within 2 days, the flowers will be donated, and we will not be able to offer a refund.

SAME-DAY DELIVERIES

We offer same-day delivery within the Greater Vancouver area.

For same-day deliveries outside of Burnaby, please email us at hello@aprilflowers.ca to see if we can accommodate your request. Same-day delivery fees are calculated using real-time quotes from our third-party delivery partners, and will vary depending on distance and availability.

To increase the chances of fulfillment, please place your same-day order as early as possible. We can only accommodate same-day deliveries outside of Burnaby if the order is placed before 11 AM PST and if there is availability.

HOLIDAYS

We close on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and always wrap things up early on Christmas Eve.

We may also close on stat holidays to help manage flower quality and inventory. Long weekends can get a little unpredictable, so we’ll adjust hours depending on what’s in stock and how things are flowing.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

If we aren’t able to reach the sender or recipient within 2 days of a missed delivery, the flowers will be donated and we won’t be able to offer a refund.

We work with fresh, seasonal flowers that are usually cut just days before they reach your door — but they’re still living things, and sometimes they can be a little unpredictable. If your blooms aren’t holding up the way they should, send us an email at hello@aprilflowers.ca and we’ll share some care tips.

If something still feels off, we’ll take a look and sort things out case by case. Our goal is always to make it right when we can.

TERMS OF SERVICE

OVERVIEW

This website is operated by April Flowers. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to April Flowers. By accessing our website or purchasing something from us, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below (“Terms of Service” or “Terms”), as well as any additional terms, conditions, and policies referenced here or available by hyperlink.

These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, vendors, and content contributors. Please read them carefully before using our site. If you do not agree, you may not access the website or use any of our services.

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to our site. Your continued use of the website means you accept any changes.

Our website and online store are powered by WooCommerce, with secure payment processing provided by Moneris.

SECTION 1 – ONLINE STORE TERMS

By using this website, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence or that you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site. You agree not to use our products or services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose or in violation of any laws.

SECTION 2 – GENERAL CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. Your content (excluding credit card information) may be transferred unencrypted over networks to conform to technical requirements. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any part of our service without our express written permission.

SECTION 3 – Workshops, Classes, and Social Media

By attending any workshop or class hosted by April Flowers, participants agree that photos and videos taken during the session may be used for social media, marketing, and promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please send an email to hello@aprilflowers.ca before your scheduled class, including your full name and the class date. We will ensure your privacy is respected.

SECTION 4 – MODIFICATIONS TO THE SERVICE AND PRICES

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of our service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

SECTION 5 – PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

Certain products or services may be available exclusively online. These products or services may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only in accordance with our Return Policy. We make every effort to display products as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that your device’s display will accurately reflect the product’s color or appearance.

SECTION 6 – BILLING, ACCOUNT, AND SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION

You agree to provide complete and accurate purchase and account information for all transactions at April Flowers. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order. Our subscriptions require a minimum three-month commitment and will renew automatically unless cancelled after the initial term. Subscription cancellations must be received in writing at hello@aprilflowers.ca at least 7 days prior to the next billing cycle.

SECTION 7 – DELIVERY POLICY

Deliveries are made between 11 AM and 6 PM. Special delivery requests cannot be accommodated through the website and must be arranged via email at hello@aprilflowers.ca, with applicable fees. For redelivery, an additional fee will apply. Missed deliveries will be held at our Burnaby location for pickup, and if unclaimed after two days, flowers will be donated with no refund provided.

SECTION 8 – OPTIONAL TOOLS

From time to time, April Flowers may offer access to third-party tools that we neither monitor nor control. These tools are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, endorsements, or conditions of any kind. We are not liable for your use of these optional tools, and you assume full responsibility and risk in using them.

Any future tools or features added to our website will also be subject to these Terms of Service.

SECTION 9 – THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Some content, products, and services available via our website may include materials from third parties. Any links on our site that lead to third-party websites are not affiliated with us. We do not review or evaluate the content or accuracy of these websites and assume no responsibility or liability for any third-party materials, content, or services.

Please carefully review the third-party’s terms and policies before you engage in any transaction. Any questions, concerns, or complaints related to third-party products should be directed to the third party.

SECTION 10 – USER COMMENTS, FEEDBACK, AND SUBMISSIONS

If you send us creative content, ideas, suggestions, or materials (whether requested or not), you agree that April Flowers may use, edit, publish, and distribute this content at any time without restriction or compensation. We are under no obligation to maintain comments in confidence or respond to them.

We may—but are not obligated to—monitor, edit, or remove content that we determine to be unlawful, offensive, or violates intellectual property or our Terms.

You are solely responsible for your comments and warrant that they do not violate the rights of any third party. You agree not to impersonate someone else or submit misleading information. We are not liable for any content posted by you or others.

SECTION 11 – PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy. You can review our Privacy Policy on our website.

SECTION 12 – ERRORS, INACCURACIES, AND OMISSIONS

Occasionally, there may be information on our site that contains errors or omissions related to product descriptions, pricing, availability, or shipping. We reserve the right to correct these at any time without prior notice, including after you’ve placed an order.

We are not obligated to update or clarify any information unless required by law. No posted update date should be interpreted to mean all information has been updated.

SECTION 13 – PROHIBITED USES

You may not use the website or its content for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose, or to violate any laws. Prohibited uses include (but are not limited to): harassment, transmitting malware, submitting false information, infringing on intellectual property, or interfering with website functionality.

Violating these terms may result in termination of your access to our services.

We do not guarantee that use of our site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Our products and services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

These Terms remain in effect unless terminated by either you or us. You may terminate at any time by ceasing use of our site. We reserve the right to terminate this agreement and your access if we suspect you’ve violated any part of these Terms.

SECTION 18 – ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, along with any posted policies, form the entire agreement between you and April Flowers and supersede any prior agreements.

SECTION 19 – GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia. Business operations are based at 2202 W 4th Ave and 1695 W 5th Ave, Vancouver, BC, Canada.

SECTION 20 – CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms at any time. It’s your responsibility to review this page for updates. Continued use of our site after changes are posted means you accept those changes.
